Certificate of Eligibility
Your VA Regional Office will process your application and determine your eligibility. Following their review, you should receive a Certificate of Eligibility in the mail. Please forward the certificate to Financial Aid by fax (901-843-3435), email (email@example.com) or mail (Rhodes College, Financial Aid, 2000 North Parkway, Memphis, TN 38112).
The Office of Financial Aid must certify enrollment each semester and verify continuing attendance, satisfactory academic progress, and major declarations throughout the year. Enrollment certifications are completed following the extended drop period and can take up to six weeks to be processed by VA before benefits are received. Note: Chapter 1606 Selected Reserve participants are required to self-certify their enrollment monthly through the WAVE website or by phone at 1-877-823-2378.
To continue receiving veterans′ education benefits, the VA requires students to attend class regularly, make satisfactory academic progress, and adhere to a specific degree program. Changes in major and course load (adds, drops, withdrawal, and section changes) should be reported immediately to Financial Aid (firstname.lastname@example.org or 901-843-3810).
